File menu bar missing

Hello,
I just updated the notebook and Chrome and it seems I cannot see the file action menu bar (i.e. new, rename, delete, duplicate, etc…)

I was expecting the menu showed at the beginning of Why does my jupyter notebook look different from normal

I’m running it in Chrome 122 and if I left click on each file I just get the Chrome drop down menu. If I run the notebook in Edge, the jupyter drop down menu appears instead. Any suggestion?

EDIT: in Chrome Incognito mode I can see the drop down menu. Maybe conflicting with some Chrome extension?

EDIT2: I found the conflicting extension but still I cannot get the menu bar

Hey Ale Bitetto,

Faced the same behavior after updating to this new version.

The work around that I found was by opening the JupyterLab option instead of the Notebook:

After clicking on it, you will be landed in the following page:

It may occur that you still don’t have access to the “Tabs” correspondent from the files you have openned.

If that’s the case you have the option to impute it by clicking on the simple toggle button at the bottom:
