hello,
I’m just curious, what happened to the IPython.org website?
It seems no longer maintained.
Mentions last version: IPython 7.12.0: Released on Jan 31st 2020.
whereas current version seems to be 8.11.0: ipython.readthedocs.io
What is the official website then?
Github repository github.com/ipython
still refers to the old one.
Thanks.

The do make it clear though under the ‘Announcements’ section their intention to rarely update the section that lists the releases on that page:
" IPython tends to be released on the last Friday of each month, this section updated rarely. Please have a look at the release history on PyPI ."
CC @carreau . Maybe there should be a PyPI badge with the latest version on IPython.org and a more prominent link to read the docs?
Yeah, the maintenance of IPython.org should be brought up with the executive council.
I’ve raised an issue with them.
@carreau ,
an issue from 2023 ? (Happy New Year)
Is there a site for discourse / questions on good old ipython-not-jupyter ?
Thanks,
cheers
