First Alpha Release of Cassini - a virtual Lab-book within JupyterLab

Cassini’s goal is to help you explore, analyse and organise your data.

I started writing Cassini during my PhD in Materials Science and found it was immensely helpful for keeping things organised and easy-to-navigate. Since graduating I have taken some time to make things more stable and added a more user-friendly and performant UI and this latest release is the result of this work.

It comprises a Python library for the backend and a fairly hefty JupyterLab extension for the UI.
