Mybinder.org updates notebook and base package versions

Short announcement about mybinder.org:

We update repo2docker regularly and mostly no one notices. Today is a bit different as we updated the version of several base packages that come as default.

We now use:

  • ipywidgets 7.4.2
  • jupyterlab 0.35.4
  • nbconvert 5.4.1
  • notebook 5.7.6

If you depend on specific versions of these packages it is probably worth checking your repository still builds. It is also a good opportunity to find out how reproducible your build/specification is. In my experience rebuilding repos a few months after their last build has a good chance of failing because the world has changed around the repository.
