In case anyone else hits the same issue, I was having some very weird errors on JupyterLab on Chrome on my Mac:
You notice that the top menu bar is duplicated! And no commands were working. Oddly, it seemed tied to the fact that I was running the Dev build of Chrome.
I just uninstalled that and went back to the standard build and things seem to be back to normal.
