File browser denies to browse certain directory?

Hi folks,
I’m using jupyter-lab version 3.0.9 and in my file browser I have a number of directories which I can easily change into each of them and browser their files.

The problem that I’m facing has to do with a certain directory which contains .tar files and no matter how many times I try to click in the file browser to enter this directory in order to browse its content, absolutely nothing happens.

It’s like the file browser does not want to change into that directory and I have no clue why is that happening with only this directory?

Any thoughts?

Have you compared the permissions settings for that directory vs. others?

That’s not issue, what was and still is an issue though is the fact that jupyterlab denies to browse any directory named checkpoints since in it’s internal code is using a directory named checkpoints to store “possibly” jupyterlab related session files or checkpoints.
