Escape for Command Mode Not Working

Escape simply does nothing, it doesn’t enter command mode. It seems like I’m not the only one with this issue:

How can I start debugging it?

Running the following versions on Sonoma 14.5

This is a pretty old version of JupyterLab as of now. The post you are referencing was from 2022 using yet older 2.3.2. What browser are you using? Any extensions installed?
