Call for reproducible papers for the ReproHack series

Hello all! just wanted to drop a note about an event series that might be of interest to this community,

Over the next 15 months I will be running a series of ReproHacks, one-day hands-on reproducibility hackathons supported by the Software Sustainability Institute, where participants attempt to reproduce papers from code and data. So I’m looking for papers with associated published code and data for participants at the event to choose from. https://sheffield-university.shinyapps.io/ReproHack_CCMcr/

The events are a celebration of the practice of making work reproducible and having run two of these before, I can attest to actual joy from participants as they delve into other’s work and manage to reproduce it! So if you have a paper you’ve worked hard on to make reproducible (or know others that do), please submit to our list and help more folks learn about reproducibility and engage with your work.

There is no additional requirements for paper authors but further engagement is more than welcome. You can chat to us and the participants through our gitter channel (see link above) and you can also opt to receive any feeback on the experiences of participants who work with your paper.

The first one is on the 27th of June at CarpentryConnect Manchester, so consider joining us as a participant if you’ll be there!

Also, if you would like to help spread the word, that could also be very helpful too e.g https://twitter.com/annakrystalli/status/1138769695513952260

Thanks!
