this was great! thanks for writing that up. As someone relatively new to OSS, reading about such distinctions is helpful. I have naturally been weaning my team off slack/teams and into github issues, and this puts words to the intrinsic motivations.

There is no mental friction to listen to something aligned with what one already is thinking 
Its nice to get those moments sometimes.
