Seems to be something related to ipywidgets and widgetsnbextension based on Widget Javascript not detected. It may not be installed or enabled properly. · Issue #2764 · jupyter/notebook · GitHub. But setting ipywidgets to 7.0.0 and widgetsnbextension to 3.0.0 does not fix the problem for me.
