I’ve been using Jupyter through Anaconda Cloud for school, and I’m on the $15/month plan with 10GB of storage. Unfortunately, the preinstalled environments alone take up 89% of my storage, leaving very little room for my work.
In an attempt to free up space via the Disk Usage tool, I accidentally deleted all of my files, and I hadn’t been able to back them up due to the storage constraints. These files are critical for my school assignments, and I’m wondering if there’s any way to recover them.
Does anyone know if deleted files can be recovered on Anaconda Cloud? Are there backups or snapshots maintained by the platform that could help in this situation?
I’d appreciate any guidance or advice. Thank you so much!
Sorry that happened! This isn’t an Anaconda forum. You might want to try contacting Anaconda support, who are more likely to know what options you have available.
Unfortunately, Anaconda Cloud doesn’t offer file recovery or backups for deleted files. If you haven’t synced your files locally or backed them up, recovery may not be possible directly from the platform.
Manually, you can check your local storage (Recycle Bin/Trash) for synced files or look for temporary files from Jupyter. If these methods don’t work, you can try file recovery software like BLR Data Recovery Software. It helps recover deleted files from local drives or cloud storage, even from emptied Recycle Bins or formatted drives. Just install the software, scan your device, and restore your lost files.
