Organize lab extension installs across systems

Hello all,

Hope I’m in the right place.

While installing jupyter lab in a fresh installation the application directory is not
in the local environment. Therefore further installation of extensions requires
sudo privileges.
While installing jupyter lab in a fresh environment (

) the application directory is not in the local environment. Therefore further installation of extensions requires
sudo privileges. I’m running Manjaro Linux.

This prohibits me to organize lab extension across installs.

I really love the idea of the jupyter lab and hope to get it soon all running.
