At the JupyterLab dev meeting, it was proposed to set up a metapackage that bundles JupyterLab with a set a popular extensions. The metapackage will be hosted on jupyterlab-contrib and to decide which extensions should be included an issue was opened there. Please feel free to add your wishes.
