I updated my Chrome and noticed that none of my iframed Jupyter hubs are loading. The system is working as expected in Firefox on Mac and Windows and we used our code, that loads the hubs, for more than a year successfully in both browsers. If I take the URL that was supposed to load in an iframe and open in its own window then it loads without a hitch.
In the network tab of my developer tools in Chrome it’s suggesting that there were too many redirects.
Unfortunately we can’t upgrade to 5.0.0. We have a rather elaborate custom LTI system that runs a large amount of hubs and for now we’ve locked in the hub version.
From what we can tell this issue might be caused by an addon that is installed in the University’s computer labs.
We have a workaround that keeps us in business. It only seemed to happen in a very specific combination of circumstances. i.e. public computers connecting to a dev machine.
