Hello,
I am in desperate need of help. I am trying to complete an assignment for the Coursera course IMB - SQL for Data Science with R. The course uses Jupyter Notebook through a Skills Network Labs (SN Labs) to complete assignments. However, some cells in Jupyter Notebook are not executing while other are. I tried resetting the kernels. I tried restarting the whole lab. Clearing the cache did not work either. Besides, if cache is the problem, what can some cell be executed while others do not?

Code is not the problem. I can run the code in a separate R program.

It does not matter if the code is wrong. Even if the code is wrong, I should get an error message when I run the cell. I do not get an error message when I try to execute the code in Jupyter Notebook.

When I try to run the code, sometimes, the kernel status indicator flashes as a full circle and then back to idle status. Other times, the kernel status has the idle status or never shows the program was running.

The [ ] by the cells do not have an *. In fact, a * never appears. Other times, the [ ] do not appear at all.

If I replace the code with 2+2 or “Hello World”, the cells can execute the code and provide an output.
I wish I could upload a video and show you, and this forum limits new posters to one photo. The situation is hard to explain for me, and this one photo cannot show the whole situation. I do not believe this give helps clarify my situation. But in the photo, you can see one cell had an output while the top cell did not.
I really need to fix this and get this cert. Coursera will not refund technical issues. I have learned my lesson and will never use Coursera again. There is no support for troubleshooting.
