Is the spreadsheet-editor still maintained?

The spreadsheet editor extension is quite nice! But the repo seems staled.

Anybody knows if the current maintainers are still active in the community?

Would be nice to :

  • make it working with JupyterLab 4
  • have a view that renders a truncated view of the value in a cell when there is a lot of characters, in order to avoid to have a massive table that doesn’t fit.

Hi, author here. I’ve started porting it to JupyterLab 4 and have some progress locally but was kept busy by other things. When prioritizing unpaid/volunteer work on things I made I often look at how many users reqeust a specific thing and this one had limitted number of requests so far ( Support for JupyterLab 4.0 · Issue #61 · jupyterlab-contrib/jupyterlab-spreadsheet-editor · GitHub) so it was put on my back burner. As for your feature suggestion - please open an issue on GitHub.

thanks a lot.
no worries, no rush, I totally understand.
You did such a good work with this extension that it’s being used by my users
I’ll follow up via github as suggested.

Hey Krassowski,
Just migrated on my side to jupyterlab 4 and got to say you out of all extensions that exist is really the one i’m missing the most. The extension is just so handy for editing csv files :slightly_smiling_face: . Hoping you will be able to updated it soon.
And thanks for taking the time to do it.
Added a thumbs up in the github request
