When I invoke command help (via shift TAB) or contextual help, the documentation is ASCII, but it does contain formatting (LATEX?) commands. I vaguely remember that a year and a half ago such help was properly formatted, like in Spyder. Googling around, I found this topic on github, I installed ‘ipython-markdown-inspector’, as recommended there, configured in my profile that module to load, but the only effect I observe is colored syntax; math formatting is still absent.
