Assigning users to groups and mounting group-based volumes

Hi,

Short problem description (Z2JH):
Each USER needs to mount a volume when they login based on what GROUP the user belongs to.

Is there a way to assign each individual user to a specific group, and how do I configure jupyterhub to mount “volume A” if the group belongs to “group A”?

Don’t focus too much on the details of the volumes just assume that there for each group exists a corresponding volume ready to be mounted.
