TLJH fails to install

Hi. I’ve been trying to install TLJH on Ubuntu 20.04 using the instructions here (https://tljh.jupyter.org/en/latest/install/custom-server.html). All proceeds well (no error messages anyway) till the last part where it says - Waiting for JupyterHub to come up (20/20 tries) and then installation fails.
I took a quick look at /opt/tljh/installer.log and all I see are the following lines

I saw another post here (https://github.com/jupyterhub/the-littlest-jupyterhub/issues/183) which had a similar problem, but the end resolution seemed to be that the installer waited for 20 seconds, instead of 4 seconds.

Any ideas?

Hi @vivek
Maybe the hub and proxy logs have more info about what’s going on. You can get them runnning:

sudo journalctl -u jupyterhub
sudo journalctl -u traefik

Saw a fatal error in the traefik logs saying that it failed to bind to port 80. [smacks head. had locked down all ports using ufw when i set up the server]

Opened http and https. It worketh now. Many thanks for your help!
