[ANN] JupyterHub 3.0

We’ve just released JupyterHub 3.0.

This will be included in the zero-to-jupyterhub helm chart 2.0, currently in the beta process.

Most of the changes in 3.0 are refinements of the new features in 2.0:

  • The new admin page
  • RBAC

This is a major version, but about as small as major releases get. It gets a major bump because it includes a database schema change, though it should not be a disruptive one. It also drops support for Python 3.6, which reached end-of-life last year.

Check out the changelog, (back up your database), and let us know how it goes.
