# Text Editor Syntax Highlighting in Jupyter Cell

Would it be possible to create an extension that allows the use of the text editor syntax highlighting in a jupyter notebook cell? This might be similar to this question:

I’m new and still learning how to write extensions. Would this be a good first try? (after an example or two)
