I have a tutorial that runs a tool that is only available in a docker container. Assuming that I can’t run a docker inside binder hub, what I’ve done is to build this tool in singularity and try to run it from binder. But I get an error when running / executing the singularity container:
INFO: Convert SIF file to sandbox…
FATAL: while extracting container.sif: root filesystem extraction failed: could not extract squashfs data, unsquashfs not found
And I’m stuck here because this unsquashfs tool is actually in the system (running !unsquashfs in a new cell works). So I’m not sure if I’m trying to do something that it’s not possible (running a singularity container inside binder hub) or if it’s possible I’m doing something wrong.
Anyone with the same problem?
