I want to clarify: I doubt that the name of the jupyterlab-renderers packages (in the importable sense of the word) is intentional. It is much more likely that no-one noticed because the packages don’t need to be imported (unless you’re using jupyterlab develop locally). It’s probable (in my view) that this is just an accident from setting up the repository with a skeleton / template. (e.g. cookiecutter)
