How to encourage contributions back to the community

I have noticed a few times that, when I write an issue, someone from the community provides good feedback and even the response describing it is something they have already solved on their deployment.

How do we proactively encourage members (individuals or companies) of the community to speak up and provide contributions back to the community right around when they spot/fix these issues?


That’s a great question - I feel like these are some of the main things we should ensure (and improve upon):

  • Make it possible to contribute
  • Make it easy to learn how to contribute
  • Make it clear what needs to be contributed
  • Make the contribution itself as seamless as possible
  • Make a contribution recognized
  • Make a contribution appreciated

(probably others I’m missing)
