# Getting list of kernel IDs from lab extension

Hello.  
I create a new notebook i.e:

```auto
    documentManager.createNew("file.ipynb", "default", {id: "ipykernel"});

```

the problem is I do not know the kernel id. Is there any API to get list of them?
